A team of researchers in the Penn State School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science aims to enable healthcare and extended reality — which encompasses virtual, augmented and mixed reality — with their smart sensing ring, OmniRing.

Community member Aquito Young is the CEO and founder of Koveroo Bedding, selling patent-pending blankets with an integrated pouch that covers the feet as well as the back side of the legs for full coverage and warmth. In fall 2022, Koveroo participated in the Happy Valley LaunchBox powered by PNC Bank FastTrack Accelerator program. 

Penn State’s I-Corps Short Course is accepting applications for its June cohort. The no-cost program helps researchers test a startup idea through customer discovery and lean startup methodology.

The Craft It, Pitch It, Win It competition was held on April 12, during which finalists presented to a panel of three judges about a business or product and their plans to implement new marketing strategies.
